Word Weaver Winner’s Profiles: 5th Place Winner Maribel C. Pagan

Here’s an interview I appeared in recently.

DAN ALATORRE

danThe winners of April’s Word Weaver Writing Contest share their thoughts on the contest, writing in general, and other stuff.

Today our 5th place winner, Maribel C Pagan, answers a few questions about our contest and other writerly things.

Maribel has appeared or is forthcoming in Blue Marble Review, Zaum, Planted Word, Persephone’s Daughters, and others. She has received the Junior Reading Giants Award, has made the President’s List in Mohawk Valley Community College, and has received 5th Place in the Word Weaver Writing Contest, among many other awards and scholarships. Additionally, she is a Prose Reader for Apprehension Magazine, and a singer and musician for The Angelic Family Choir.

A Few Brief Announcements For the Week

Hello all! I know it’s been a while, but I wanted to share a few announcements here:

I will be published on March 16, 2017, in two different publications: Moledro Magazine and Every Day Fiction. I will be posting their links as two separate posts on that day, and I welcome all of you to read my writings and make comments on them. Feedback is always welcome and appreciated. If all you want to say is “I can relate”, that’s totally fine. I love hearing from my readers and from other fellow writers! You can make the comments, if possible, on the website itself; if not, you can always either leave a comment on the post I will have here, or contact me using the “Contact” link listed above.

I was also offered an editor position, one which I gladly accepted. If you or anyone you know is between the ages of 14-21, you are more than welcome to submit to Apprehension Magazine, found here. I am so glad I got into such an amazing position here at Apprehension. You will be able to find me on their Masthead page sometime within the next few weeks.

Last remark: For any of you who tuned in to WLMU Radio last week but didn’t hear my radio show… don’t be shocked. I wasn’t around that week and was occupied with other matters. My plans are that the show will resume this Tuesday, same time: 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. I can’t wait to share the Featured Poet of the Week, the Positive News Story of the Week, and some music with all of you!

And those are all the announcements I have for now. Have a great week, everyone!
